Our Story
The Brick Smiths was founded by Nathan Wilkinson, a Certified LEGO® Serious Play® Facilitator, with a passion for helping organisations think differently. What began as a curiosity for how play can unlock creativity has grown into a practice that empowers teams across industries to collaborate, innovate, and solve complex challenges.
Why “The Brick Smiths”?
Just like a blacksmith forges tools with fire and steel, we use LEGO® bricks as tools for forging ideas, strategies, and stronger connections. Every workshop is hands-on, immersive, and designed to spark fresh ways of thinking.
Our Approach
We believe the best solutions come when everyone has a voice at the table. Using the LEGO® Serious Play® methodology, we create safe, engaging spaces where teams can explore challenges, share insights, and build solutions together — literally, with their hands. No two workshops are the same; each one is tailored to your organisation’s needs, goals, and context.
About Nathan
Nathan Wilkinson is passionate about helping people learn, grow, and collaborate in new ways. With over a decade of experience in vocational education and leadership, Nathan brings deep expertise in facilitation, team development, and creative problem-solving.
His style is inclusive and supportive, drawing on evidence-based facilitation techniques and a strong belief in the power of play. Nathan is also a Program Coordinator at RMIT University, where he leads teams of educators and works closely with industry partners.
