LEGO® Serious Play® is a facilitated method that uses LEGO® bricks to unlock creativity, improve collaboration, and solve complex problems. It gives everyone a voice and helps teams explore ideas through hands-on building and storytelling. 

Our workshops are designed for organisations, teams, educators, and leaders across industries. Whether you want to build strategy, strengthen collaboration, or spark new ideas, LSP works for groups of all sizes. 

Not at all. The process is about expressing ideas, not building perfect models. Everyone can participate equally, regardless of experience with LEGO®.

LSP is flexible and can be applied to:

Workshops can run anywhere from 60 minutes to a full day, depending on your goals. We tailor the format to suit your needs and timeframes. 

Workshops are designed to be most effective in small groups of 5–7 participants, where everyone has time to build, share, and reflect.

For larger teams, I can facilitate up to 30 participants, organised into tables of 5–6 people. Each table works through the activities at the same pace, and I move between groups to guide the process and keep the session on track.

Please note: in larger groups, sharing happens within each table rather than across the whole room, so the focus stays interactive and time-efficient.

For extended sessions (e.g. full-day planning or professional development workshops), I can provide a custom quote to reflect the additional time and facilitation required.

• In-person workshops: Yes — I bring all the LEGO® materials needed for the session. All you need to provide is the venue, your team, and an open mind.
   
• Online workshops: Each participant will need their own LEGO® to take part. I recommend the official LEGO® Serious Play® Starter Kit (one per person) for the best experience. These should be purchased in advance.
   

Participants may also use their own LEGO® from home, but please note that the workshop is designed around Serious Play kits, so results may vary. Online sessions are facilitated live via Zoom or MS Teams in real time.

Workshops can be delivered in three ways:

• At your workplace — I come to you and set up in your office or training space.
   
• At an offsite venue — If you’d like a neutral space, I can facilitate at your chosen venue.
   
• Online — Sessions can also be run virtually via Zoom or MS Teams, using adapted methods to create the same interactive and engaging experience.

LEGO® Serious Play® isn’t just “playing with bricks” — it’s a research-based methodology grounded in organisational psychology, systems thinking, and constructivist learning theory. It was originally developed by LEGO® in collaboration with leading academics to help businesses tackle complex problems through hands-on, minds-on engagement.

Unlike traditional team-building activities, LSP is:

• Evidence-based — Built on theories of learning, creativity, and communication (including Piaget’s constructivism and Papert’s constructionism).
   
• Psychologically safe — The structured process ensures every participant contributes equally, overcoming hierarchy and bias that can silence voices.
   
• Embodied cognition — By “thinking with their hands,” participants externalise abstract ideas into 3D models, engaging both brain and body to deepen understanding.
   
• Proven globally — Trusted by organisations, universities, and governments worldwide as a practical tool for strategy, innovation, leadership, and problem-solving.
   

The result? Deeper thinking, shared meaning, and actionable outcomes — far beyond what typical team-building games or icebreakers can achieve.

Bookings & Payment

• Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your workshop.
   
• Prices are listed in AUD and include GST (if applicable).
   

Cancellations

• Cancellations made 14+ days before the workshop: full refund.
   
• Cancellations made 7–13 days before: 50% refund (or one free reschedule).
   
• Cancellations made less than 7 days before: non-refundable (but may be rescheduled at our discretion).
   

Rescheduling

• One reschedule is included free of charge if requested 7+ days before the workshop.
   
• Additional reschedules may incur a fee.
   

No Shows

• If participants do not attend on the scheduled date/time, the session is considered delivered and no refund will apply.
   

Customisation & Materials

• For workshops requiring customised design, venue hire, or advance purchase of LEGO® kits/materials, additional cancellation terms may apply (these will be agreed upon in writing prior to the booking).
   

Online Sessions

• Clients are responsible for ensuring stable internet and required equipment (including LEGO® Serious Play® kits, where specified). Refunds are not provided for technical issues outside our control.
